Aside from beach-lounging and pool-dipping, you’ll find plenty to keep you occupied in this lovely corner of the world. Just 20 minutes away in Rimini is Italia in Miniatura, a model village showcasing tiny models of Italian landmarks, and less than an hour away is San Marino, one of the world’s smallest countries. Populated with ancient fortresses atop hilly, mountainous terrain, this is quite the place to visit if you’re in the area. For even more city exploring, Bologna is roughly an hour and a half away.
