Property details

A snug seaside stay on the Côte Fleurie to discover rustic Norman charm and idyllic French countryside, with self-catering apartments, a restaurant and wellness area – includes breakfast
  • Beside the seaside: You’ll find Les Boréales - Appart'hotel & Restaurant in the classically French, sleepy seaside town of Villers-sur-Mer, where rolling green countryside meets charming Norman architecture and a sandy stretch of beach. Picture the fun of a camping holiday in rural France – just swap the tent for a cosy apartment with uplifting, contemporary design, a spacious kitchen and living room, and a balcony.

  • Wellness on tap: Enjoy moments of stillness amidst leafy green spaces as the gentle sea breeze blows in, and for ultimate R&R, while away some hours in the indoor swimming pool and sauna (fees apply). There’s also a fitness room if you wish to keep up with your workout routine, with yoga mats to keep things zen.

  • To cook or to dine: That is the question! Stock up on some fresh ingredients at the local market, and take all the time in the world to cook something delicious in your apartment – music playing, drink in hand. If you just don’t feel like it, there’s always the hotel’s restaurant and bar to enjoy French classics paired with a fine wine from the cellar.

Location and what's nearby

Les Boréales Villers-sur-Mer, 18 Rue du Stade André Salesse, 14640 Villers-sur-Mer, France

You’ll be moments away from the centre of peaceful, residential Villers-sur-Mer, so shops, bakeries and supermarkets are conveniently at your disposal. The half-timbered and old Norman architecture of this quaint seaside town is something to marvel at as you wander through the streets, and with a bit of luck you’ll find yourself at the flower-fringed farmer’s market (open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).

The town is located within the Calvados department of Normandy, so sampling some of the warming amber spirit is a must. Also of the region is the world-famous Camembert cheese – tuck in and enjoy. Balance out the calories with a brisk walk along the beach, ideally past the ancient Vaches Noires cliffs, with other scenic cycling and hiking trails winding through the lush green countryside. A day trip to the grand seaside town of Deauville, just up the coast, is never a bad idea.
