Sitting pretty on the Adriatic coast, Vodice offers plenty of small town enjoyments. Wander around the churches and towers of past centuries, relax in a café by the harbour or pitch up on one of the several small beaches. From the harbour you can even catch a boat to the small islands that lie off the coast to seek more-secluded shores.
 
For history and culture, head into Šibenik, just a 20-minute drive away. A magnificent cathedral, a delightful old town and charming stone houses perched along the seafront make this a destination well worth a visit for everyone, not just Game of Thrones fans. If chasing waterfalls is your thing, you’re in an excellent location for exploring the stunning natural landscapes of both Krka and Kornati National Parks (you’ll need to drive to Murter to catch a boat to the latter, which is a collection of 89 islands, islets and reefs).
