Washed by the North Atlantic, the stunning coast of the scenic Inishowen Peninsula is the place for all your outdoor adventures. Head to the beach: with views out to Glashedy Island and great waves for surfing, nearby Pollan Strand stretches out from Ballyliffin up to 16th-century Carrickabraghy Castle. The curved shores of Tullagh Bay are also close at hand, with soft sands and clear waters perfect for a bracing swim in the brisk ocean. This coastline is also great for scenic wanders along the rocky headlands or through the lush countryside - you could follow the route to Glenevin Waterfall, or head down to Dunree Bay to take in the lighthouse and the fort with its military museum.
